Drew Pompilio
For over 32 years Drew has produced live entertainment and has maintained impeccable relationships with agents, managers, venue GM's, tour managers and production managers. It started as a student at The Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan where he became the Student GM of the Thursday Nightclub known as Binsky's. His networking led him to his first job at Omnipop on Long Island where he represented unknown comics Kevin James, Adam Ferrara, Andy Kindler, Joey Kola and many more. Upon securing his first big show with the Romantics and The Ramones, Drew found his calling. Major concert buying was his passion.
After eight years in New York he found an opportunity at Cellar Door in Washington, D.C. where he specialized in corporate and special events such as The Bartenders Ball and DC 101's Chili Cook Off. Looking to move a little further north, the next stop was Philadelphia's Electric Factory Concerts where once again he was the Director of Special Events. Drew had the opportunity to buy talent for events such as Welcome America's July 4th Celebration, Jam On The River, WMGK's Freedom Rockfest, The Democratic Convention, The Republican Convention as well as assist Atlantic City Casinos to acquire top headline artists. Two highlights of his time at EFC was working as Talent Manager for Live 8 and securing accommodations for all artist involved with United We Stand- the 9/11 Benefit in Washington DC at historic RFK Stadium.
Electric Factory Concerts was sold to SFX, then to Clear Channel and finally became Live Nation where Drew remained Director of Special Events until 2010.
It has always been understood that a talent buyer needs to work for their clients. With the experience working for promoters and agencies, Drew decided he could best assist his clients by opening his own shop: Dbuyer, Inc.
Today, Dbuyer, Inc. 's clients include casinos, private events, festivals, venues and corporate clients such as Tanger Outlets, Hersheypark, The United States Naval Academy, The City of Philadelphia, The NCAA Women's Final Four, and numerous Universities.
